My best time to Peoria for ISFA because of you all!!! I participated in Judi Borah Land of Lincoln cup design competition, placed bronze medal, design structure was 100% organic.
This design is crafted entirely from natural, biodegradable materials—free from glue, paper wire or synthetic components. The structure is thoughtfully constructed using bamboo sticks, bamboo strips, and medolina, embracing a philosophy of sustainability and environmental consciousness. Every element speaks to a respect for nature, where form and function harmonize with eco-friendly intent. This approach not only honors traditional craftsmanship but also reflects a modern commitment to responsible, sustainable floral design.
Rooted in the quiet strength of nature, this design unfolds through bamboo tubes and slender strips that breathe with organic grace. Each strip and medolina threads gently through narrow slits, weaving a silent dialogue of balance and trust—where one bamboo lifts another, and together they rise into a living sculpture of harmony. There is no force, no artificial binding—only patience, intention, and the poetry of interdependence. Like humanity at its best, the structure reminds us that when we hold space for one another to grow, we create something far more beautiful than we ever could alone.
